Top of the page gives you the curb weight of the 2016 Malibu, picture of the Malibu, and other vehicle weights people have searched comparing the Malibu (it really is quite light). A bit odd since every article, image, video, news story, and so on have nothing to do with any type of Malibu. This is an example of buying the first Google search result. Don’t believe me? Search “chevette weight,” or simply “chevelle” and view what happens when automakers don’t fund search results.

Keep in mind that the Malibu used to be a trim level of the Chevelle.

All I’m pointing out is the instance in which a Chevelle search doesn’t produce a Chevelle.

Yeah, search engines have been garbage in the last few years, so hard to find what you’re actually looking for these days.

Well the non-sponsored information is probably on page 2. Is page 2 still a thing? I haven’t checked since early this millinium.

Strong association of “Chevelle” with “Malibu” in Google’s associative library, which is then going around the bend with a mistake. I just tried Bing for comparison and without that heavy reliance on the associations library, the results are relevant.

I think other search engines are about to have their best chance to really move against Google soon. There are issues coming up with paid for content, zero use of pages past the first, predictive search results, and other tweaks to the systems.

Yep. Bing hasn’t been as good for some time, but they *are* learning, and they haven’t gotten worse, only (mostly) better. I’ve been trialing their search off and on due to results issues with da G, and obnoxious political grandstanding like promoting an OSAMA WAS RIGHT loon on their daily wank because allegedly helpful activism.

And now this post shows up when you search Chevelle weight, both google and bing.
